What I’m up to

I’m currently working for ORCID.org as Senior Technical Officer on the EC funded THOR project.   I’m involved with both the technical and the human side of integrating persistent identifier infrastructure.  This includes running workshops, an awful lot of analysis, actual development work and creating communication plans. Recently I’ve implemented swagger, added better external identifier support, added a statistics API and heavily refactored the registry so that it will scale properly.

Outside of that, I’m a also potter.  I make bowls, mugs, jars and other assorted goodies in my tiny shed, which houses both a kiln and a wheel.  I have an etsy shop if you’re interested, called LoveYourMugs

Previously I was working as a Technical Lead with IPL.  We were improving the performance of a large scale Legacy financial application using Delphi and C#.  it was more fun than it sounds.
