Hey there! Tom here. I've been potting since I was a teenager and I'm gradually getting better at it.

I make a variety of colourful homeware and love experimenting with form and function, surface and colour. I like my pots to be useful as well as beautiful. I make all my own glazes and fire most of them in my gas reduction kiln.

You might just recognise me from the Great Pottery Throwdown 2022, where I made chicken clocks, raku teapots and an octopus. It was a wonderful experience, taught me a lot and I'm still friends with all the other potters :)

I unloaded the kiln at lunchtime and took a few shots of the big pot.

A hanging pot with lovely macrame by my lovely wife Fleur.

I may be obsessed with coiling big pots at the moment but I've not forgotten my love of throwing. I'm hoping to make a batch of these next weekend when I've pencilled in nothing but pottery.

Latest pot ready for firing. I've got my measuring tape out, but it's not the size that counts right? it's what you do with it apparently 🤣 Tbh I have no idea what I'm going to do with this or the umpteen other ones I have planned. I just love making them. ☺️

My first big coil pot is decorated and out of the kiln. The burnishing has worked pretty well and I think once I've given it a polish it's going to look even better. Not bad for a first try imo! Just ordered 20 bags of white sculpture clay and I can't wait to make the next one!
